Annke and Swann released many products with tight competition and of course sold with more economical prices than products from other big vendors with specs and features that were not much different. Annke C800 4k turret camera is Annke’s flagship product with 4k resolution in the middle class product, while Swann with the Swnhd-887 is one of the active deterrent cameras released by Swann with 4k resolution color night vision.
Both camera models are sold in 8 channel kits with 4 or 8 cameras or in 16 channel kits with 8 cameras or 16 cameras. Firstly we’ll discuss the comparison between these two security camera models in order to help you choose which security camera kit that suits your business needs.
Annke vs Swann 4k
Both security camera models are equipped with different image sensors but with the same 8MP resolution. The Annke c800 is a turret model security camera and comes with Sony IMX274 Starvis image sensor for superb night vision, while the Swann is unknown.

Night vision
The quality of a security camera can be seen how the camera performs at night, or how the camera performs in low light conditions. Each of the two Annke c800 and Swann security camera models respond differently.
Color Night Vision
Annke c800 with Sony Starvis image sensor provides starlight color night vision in low light condition or with the addition of ambient light around the camera. And with low light condition below 0.01lux the camera will switch to use EXIR LED for black and white night vision clearly, much better than standard IR LED night vision.
On the other hand, Swann Swnhd-887 comes with two spotlights that are triggered ON when it detects motion or heat that consequently provides color night vision. And you can also trigger the siren to warn the uninvited guest to leave your property via your mobile device, and you may also talk in two directions with someone near the camera. Annke c800 doesn’t come with audio and siren.

The bright spotlights and the siren act as active deterrent cameras like other cameras with siren and spotlights or floodlights. See also top rated victure floodlights camera or Lorex v261lcd floodlight cameras.

Swann Swnhd-887 provides color night vision when spotlights are active due to human motion or heat detection. The same principle applies to the Annke c800, however Annke utilizes Sony Starvis image sensor with wide diaphragm f/1.2 which is ideal in low light condition so that it can provide color night vision as long as there is ambient light around the camera.
