The Hikvision 2de2a404iw is a value series of 4MP PTZ POE outdoor camera with rich features and is tagged with affordable price. How good is it compared with Reolink rlc-423 which is also popular with more economical price compared with other similar products?

If you compare to Reolink rlc-423 this product is quite light, only about one third of the rlc-423 and its body is also not too big so it can be easily placed anywhere outdoor. Optical Zoom
With 4x optical zoom, this Hikvision 2de2a404iw is ideal for front and back yard of homes or small offices. Meanwhile, with 4mp resolution, the image quality is quite clear and detailed even though it is fully zoomed in up to 4x optical zoom. Image quality diminishes a bit when you use perform fully digital zoom in up to 16x digital zoom.
This product features 4x optical motorized zoom and up to 16x digital zoom. With optical zoom, the detailed image quality is preserved because it uses optical mechanism, while with digital zoom the image is obtained by software processing after the image is captured by the camera using optical mechanism.
Dark Fighter technology
Hikvision complements this product with Dark-Fighter technology, so with very low minimum illumination this camera is still able to render color night vision when there is still ambient light, except when it is fully darkness, the camera will provide black and white night vision view with IR LEDs up to 20m range. Reolink RLC-423 features the same as this product, however with IR LEDs Reolink demonstrates longer distance range up to 190 ft. (60m).
