What this product does
Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW is a cube model designed for easy installation typically for homes and as add-on camera to your security surveillance system (NVR system), any NVR system that is ONVIF compliant. This product is ONVIF compliant you can connect to any ONVIF compliant NVR system.
Wifi and POE
When you have NVR system in place you can add this cube camera either connect wirelessly to your existing wireless network, or connect using CAT5 network cable direct to your NVR system so video data can be stored to the NVR storage and you don’t need to provide power outlet to the camera. Traditionally NVR system comes with built-in POE switch such as Hikvision and Amcrest 16 channel NVR system, and other large channel 32 channel H.265 NVR system unless you to add a POE power injector.
3MP @ 20 fps
Built-in color CMOS 2.8 mm fixed lens (actually you have other focal length options either 4mm or 6mm), this camera offers resolution of up to 3MP (2048 x 1536 pixels) @20 fps or you can use real time @30 fps with 1080p resolution, very sharp to view via your mobile devices.
