How economist is this product compared with Amcrest 16 channel security camera system kit?

16 Channel NVR

Both Hikvision and Amcrest NVR are 16 channel security camera system, however Hikvision offers 16-port POE switch embedded in the recording NVR unit while Amcrest offers only 8-port POE switch. So that’s why when you need to occupy full 16-channel capacity for Amcrest you need to purchase separate 8-port or more ports of POE switch.

Hikvision offers local memory storage disk capacity up to 12TB which is doubled compared with Amcrest which is only 6TB.

Cameras

The main difference between Hikvision and Amcrest cameras here is the maximum recording resolution each of the camera can support. Hikvision ds-2cd2143go-I camera supports up to 5mp @30 fps, on the other hand Amcrest ip8m-2493eb can support up to 4k @15 fps nearly twice as high resolution as Hikvision. But see that the frame rate is different, Amcrest with 4k resolution records @15 fps. Lower resolution can be selected with real time frame rate.

Two way audio feature is also applied to Hikvision cameras, not with built-in speaker and microphone like standard home wifi cameras (such as Amcrest IP4m-1051 or Foscam R4 Wifi Cameras) but the audio In and Out interfaces.

Have a look at the following two spec comparison tables, table 1 is for NVR unit comparison while table 2 is for outdoor cameras.
