Meet Owl 3 vs Logitech Rally

Logitech Rally gives you two mode options, USB mode and appliance mode options. With USB mode you can connect the Rally webcam with a USB connection to a PC or Mac to run video conference software like a webcam in general. For the appliance mode option, you can use applications that are supported by Rally directly from this webcam, no need to connect to a computer anymore.

If you compare Meet Owl with this Logitech Rally, you can see few main differences. Use table 4 below as reference.

Logitech Rally

If you compare Meet Owl with this Logitech Rally, you can see few main differences.

Motorized lens

Meet Owl comes with fish eye lens for 360 whole room panoramic and need to place on the middle of the table where each participants sits around the meeting table with Meet Owl on the center of the table. On the other hand Rally is designed with complicated optic with motorized 5x optical zoom in addition of 3x digital zoom.

Resolution

Rally also comes with motorized Pan and Tilt you may control via the app. And the other main difference is the recording resolution up to 8MP (4k) @30 fps as opposed to only 1080p @30 fps. Covering the whole participants in front of webcam with 4k resolution is better for more detail.

Audio

With Meet Owl in the center of the meeting table, the speakerphone audio system on the device can cover the voice of participants around the webcam equally with a radius of up to 18ft. While Logotech rally with optical lenses in front of all meeting participants at a long meeting table affects the microphone pickup where the farther from the webcam the weaker the intensity of the sound captured. For this reason, Rally provides the option of adding up to 3 Rally Mic pods in series in order to capture the voices of all participants in the meeting equally.
