Various Models Amcrest vs Lorex 4K Security Cameras
Lorex has a series of cameras with enormous variations compared to Amcrest. Lorex only produces a variety of camera products aimed at the needs of your business, but you can also use it for home needs.
Amcrest produces both home consumer needs or business needs. And most lorex cameras when compared to Amcrest are sold at somewhat higher prices for almost the same camera spec. I’ve discussed comparisons of various models of reolink vs lorex security cameras, and also comparison of hikvision vs lorex POE cameras. This time we will discuss various comparisons of amcrest vs lorex 4k with various models, dome, bullet, PTZ and WiFi camera products that have been around in the market today.
Amcrest vs Lorex 4K
We will take several featured products from Amcrest and look for a comparison from lorex that has a technical spec almost the same as the mainstay of lorex products. The featured products from both Amcrest and lorex including newly launched and released in 2018 ~ 2020. We’ll start from dome model product.
One of the Amcrest 4k camera products with a dome model is Amcrest IP8M-2454 with a varifocal lens. However, lorex does not release dome cameras with 4k resolution so far, so we take Amcrest IP4M-1056EW and compared to Lorex LND3374SB. Both are dome cameras with 2k resolution.
Amcrest mostly uses image sensors from Sony with good quality for its camera series. Amcrest IP4M-1056 comes with a fixed lens that is designed with intelligent digital zoom so that it produces a varifocal field of view angle between 104 ~ 55 degrees like a varifocal lens with optical zoom. In contrast, the lorex lnd3374sb is equipped with a 3x optical motorized zoom with varifocal optical lens. Zoom with optics is certainly as beautiful as the original color unlike digital zoom that is processed by software.
At first glance the two features are only different in optical zoom while other features are almost the same, at least close each other.

With a price difference of around $ 30, you get a more expensive lorex, but the excess of 3x optical zoom is a significant advantage. For more details please follow the product link below with the shopping link on Amazon.
2. Dome Turret model
Turret camera models generally provide higher illuminant values to reach more distant night vision, greater night vision capability making it suitable for night vision needs outside the home / office with a longer distance reach.
Amcrest released the ip8m-t2499ew dome turret camera with a fixed lens with 4k resolution, on the other hand we take lorex 8950abw one of the many lorex turret series which is also the same as a fixed lens. Lorex has few choices of turret model cameras with optical zoom lens.
Color night vision
Note the following amcrest vs lorex comparison table, from the resolution, fixed 2.8mm lens and also the availability of a microphone are almost the same features between the two products. Except the ability of night vision that is different in range and also the ability of color night vision on lorex.

Now we turn to the comparison of amcrest vs lorex bullet camera models.
3. Bullet model
The only bullet model camera with 4k resolution released by Amcrest is IP8M-2496 with a fixed lens, so we also take a similar bullet model camera from lorex namely lorex lnb8111. Lorex released few types of security cameras with bullet models from 1080p to 4k resolution with optical zoom.
Look at table 3 below, both are equipped with a fixed lens with the same resolution and frame rate of 4k @ 15 fps, or 2k @ 30 fps real time speed. And with a slight difference in the field of view angle where Amcrest provides a wider view angle than lorex
On the other hand lorex is still superior in color night vision with the same range as Amcrest. Now take a close look at the following Amcrest ip8m-2496 vs lorex lnb8111 spec comparison table see the same price.

4. Ptz model
Now we turn to the PTZ model which is more widely used for business and to cover a very large area of nearly 360 degrees with panning camera capabilities with programmable preset patrols. We select ptz camera product from Amcrest which is successful in the market namely Amcrest IP4M-1053EW and from Lorex we take Lorex LNZ44P12B.
Please refer to lorex vs amcrest spec comparison table (table 3) between Amcrest IP4M-1053EW and Lorex LNZ44P12B.
Both of these PTZ cameras are technically the same although there is a slight difference in the value that is not too far away, for example the range of focal length and range of view angles produced. Amcrest is more advantage because of the availability of audio interface for two-way communication, as well as an alarm interface also available In / Out.
Color night vision
There aren’t many security cameras that are equipped with CNV (color night vision) technology that allows us to view videos and record them in color at night, no longer in black and white views like most cameras with night vision support. The range of these two cameras is the same at night except with the addition of ambient light, lorex can provide color night vision.
